YOU'LL FEEL SECURE LIKE IN A FORTRESS
Zero Waste and More Savings
The Hoymiles MS is smart enough to maximize the value of your energy harvest. You can set the most cost-efficient times for using or storing your solar power and avoid peak prices.
Compatible with Shelly smart plugs and meters, the product keeps you on top of your load stats. The result? Zero waste, more yields and less energy bills!
Your Battery Backup for Any Setting
It’s more than a clean energy source for your daily use. Hoymiles MS also acts as a battery backup for your home as well as a portable power station that works on its own. The built-in 2.24 kWh battery lets you store excess energy and use it later.
Works With 100% of Microinverter Brands
In a typical DC-coupled solution, the storage inverter has to match the DC power inflow from the PV modules with the MPPT algorithm of the microinverter. We wanted Hoymiles MS to work for everyone. So we created the world’s first AC-coupled battery storage solution that cuts out the issue altogether.
Starting from scratch? We have a complete package for you! HMS-W series keeps your solar running and the S-Miles Home app tracks your data day and night.
The Simplest Installation You Ever Get
It takes only a few seconds to install the Hoymiles balcony solar storage system. No worrying about complicated wiring at all!
All you need do is unplug the microinverter and connect Hoymiles MS between the microinverter and the power. Simple as that.
Ready for Now, Expandable for the Future
Need more power? No problem, the Hoymiles MS energy storage system supports two units running in parallel. So you’ll get 4.48 kWh of power altogether to get an energy boost for your home.

FAQs
The MS-A2 is designed to support a wide range of single-phase microinverters from all the brands, covering a power output of 0-1800W per unit.
Absolutely, it can be seamlessly integrated.
The product offers both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection. Bluetooth is used for direct local connection or when the network is not available.
Yes, it facilitates charging from both the PV panels and the grid, with a maximum charging power of 1000W.
The product is equipped with a heat dissipation system on the back to enhance cooling. Additionally, an internal heating mechanism can be activated through the App to ensure the battery operates at an optimal temperature even in harsh cold conditions.
The charging time depends on the daily power generation of the microinverter. However, at the maximum charging rate of 1000W, a full charge can be achieved in approximately 2.24 hours.
The MS-A2 is compatible with Shelly smart devices, including the Shelly Plus Plug S and Shelly Pro 3EM. This allows users to dynamically adjust the output power based on household energy demands, promoting efficient energy use.
The MS-A2 is capable of working in tandem with Shelly smart meters to achieve a zero feed-in configuration.

The MS-A2 supports connection with Hoymiles’ WiFi-integrated microinverters and the DTU Lite series, allowing users to monitor device status and access basic data through the S-Miles Home App.
Our simulations indicate that a 1100W balcony power plant system in Germany could generate up to 1300kWh of electricity annually, with approximately 550kWh to be consumed by households. At the local rate of 40 cents per kWh, this translates to an annual saving of 219 euros. Furthermore, with the MS-A2’s energy storage capabilities, you could potentially save an additional 300 euros per year by storing excess electricity not consumed during peak times.
For those taking advantage of Germany’s flexible tariffs, we offer an economic mode, or saving mode, which allows users to schedule the MS-A2’s charging and discharging times. By charging the battery during off-peak hours when electricity is cheaper and discharging during peak hours when prices are high, users could save an additional 146 euros per year, based on a peak-valley price difference of 0.2 euros.
Other countries can also refer to this calculation model.
In the event of a power outage, simply disconnect the MS-A2 from the grid, plug your appliances into the AC off-grid port, and press the setting button twice to switch to off-grid mode.
To comply with safety regulations, if the battery is fully charged and the microinverter’s output surpasses the feed-in grid power limit, the connection will be temporarily cut off to allow the battery to discharge a certain amount of power before the system reconnects. This ensures the system’s normal operation without causing damage to the microinverter or other equipment.
